Sukalyan Welfare Society is a registered Non- Profit Organization working in the state of West Bengal mainly aims to create awareness on severe preventive health issues, create sustainable livelihoods for women, integrated community development & promote digital intervention among the CSO’s & Rural Community. It was registered as a Society on March 2005 under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961 and later registered under 80(G) and 12A under Income Tax Act, 1961 on January 2013.
Over the last 12 years of service to the community, Sukalyan has been working relentlessly with minimum human resources to bring about qualitative behavioral change and impacted lives of over six lakh people. Its bottom- up approach of inclusive development has changed lives of many and has led the path in sustainable development. Under Livelihood Development Programme, there has been an impact on the lives of around 200 women, more than 1000 through our financial literacy interventions, 500000 villagers through our preventive healthcare interventions and 100 youths through our digital interventions (Rural Digital Literacy Project). Apart from this, Sukalyan has a full-fledged NGO Capacity Building Programme which has converted 500+ NGOs into skilled and well managed organization. At present, Sukalyan focuses on Preventive Healthcare, Financial Literacy, Sustainable Livelihoods, ICT for development and Community Development as its main areas of interventions.
